Parents, Hair, and Nummy Food

Wow, it's been a while. So in brief summary, my parents came and it was so fun. We ate at Angie's.
And also, I gave Michael a haircut (my first one ever). It was very overdue... And let's just say I almost cried because I was so nervous. Michael has a real haircut. Like. I can't just use one guard on the entire thing. It turned out pretty great though considering.
We also went on an adventure to bear lake on Labor Day. Wow. I was stunned at how massive and beautiful the lake is. If it wasn't so darn cold I would spend forever there! We ate at a small beach side shop. The burgers weren't great, but the waffle fries and the shake were phenomenal! We will definitely make the trip again.
I am almost done I promise. I made this cute wreath for our door! I am very very proud of it!
That's about all for us this last week! I can't wait to see what next week brings!

From Here to There

This is my view every time I go to school. I love the location of our apartment because it gives me the opportunity to spend time in such a beautiful quiet place. The Logan cemetary is the most beautiful cemetary I have ever been to.

As I travel through the cemetary my mind always wanders to those who have gone before me, and who are counting on me to make the right choices to return to live with them. It leaves me feeling motivated and determined to do good as I go to school or return home to Michael.

In other news, my first week of school is over, but it was really good. Me and Michael have a lot of classes together. My parents are coming up for the weekend and I am very excited!

Until next week,

First Day of School! First Day of School!

School has just begun up here in Logan. My first class has 1100 students
enrolled in it. Wait. What. That is more than we're enrolled in my entire High School.
That was the view I had today. The good news is that following this class I get to have lunch with my sweet husband. Then, it's off to aerobic kickboxing and bowling ( with Michael! ) You can say that it has been a pretty great day!

In other news, we are in the second ward. Our bishop is amazing. The only problem is there are a million cute babies 😳. I just want them all!

Also, Michael did the ALS ice bucket challenge. Ha. He nominated me. Ha. Ha. Ha. He thinks it's funny!

Oh well. Just another day in paradise!

Rainy Days

It has rained every day for like. Ever.

Okay , so maybe it has only been like two days or three. But, I have been loving this drizzly weather. It makes me think of home (odd considering that it never rains in southern Utah). Don't get me wrong. I love my husband and our little home.  I miss my little munchkin nieces and nephews.

There they are... Shining in all of their insane glory. I wish I had a picture of their parents while we were trying to take this picture. They are the funniest. Sometimes I wish that we were home to see Gracie walk or to ask Addi and Jamie how 2nd grade is. I have such a good family!

I am so grateful for my family and for the rain. Two things that make life sooo sweet. I have a lot to be grateful for.

For instance,

He makes food, does dishes, and gives me backrubs. I am basically living a perfect life right now. Do I have problems? Ha. Where to even begin. But hey, I am not alone.

Finding joy is the easiest part, if we remember who we are, and where we are going.

Until tomorrow folks,
Mrs. Condie

Tender Mercies

Wow. What can even be said about this last week. A few days ago we went to get an emissions test for Michael's truck so that we could get a parking pass for our apartment. He didn't pass. Since then, it has been a nightmare trying to get it fixed. So today we dropped the truck off to get the oxygen sensor replaced ( that's what was why we didn't pass ). I was annoyed because really we just don't have money for something like that. Not too long after we dropped it off, we got a call from the mechanic. He told us that our oxygen sensor was only unplugged, not broken. However, our brake pads were at 2%.

In that second Michael and I knew why we had gone through so many stupid things trying to get the truck to pass. Our brakes would've gone out within the next week.

Heavenly Father is looking out for us so much. We are so grateful for his influence and blessings in our life.
